Gheel Autism Services
Gheel Autism Services (formally Gheel Training Group) was founded in 1971 by parents of people with autism. It was registered as a limited company with charitable status CHY 7345 in 1974. The Gheel Board of Directors consist of eight members, four of whom are nominated from the Families and Friends of Gheel.
Gheel is a registered Voluntary Housing Assoication with approved status from the Department of the Environment Heritage and Local Government. We have both purchased and built properties in the past to enable us to meet the housing needs of those in our care. We will continue to use this status in conjuction with the relevant local authority to provide for future housing needs.
